For many people, playing blackjack online can be extremely fun and rewarding. There are many different types of blackjack games found online including pontoon and 21 and classic European blackjack. One of the more popular blackjack games is Real Time Gaming’s Perfect Pairs Blackjack. In this game, players can place side bets on specific pairs as well as placing standard blackjack bets. In the notes below, we are going to take a look at how the game works and how to play online.
Two Bets on One Blackjack Hand
Perfect Pairs Blackjack has a classic blackjack table setup consisting of a single table with six decks of shuffled cards minus the jokers. The dealer is situated at the top of the screen with the player and his chips at the bottom of the screen. In the centre of the table are the two betting areas for the standard bet and the side bet of perfect pairs. The game begins with the player placing his or her bet on the table. In this game, there are two separate betting options. The first bet is the classic blackjack bet where the player competes against the dealer to see who can get the closest to 21 points without going over 21.
The Optional Perfect Pairs Bet
The optional side bet in Perfect Pairs Blackjack is the perfect pairs bet. This unique bet can be placed in conjunction with the main blackjack bet. Once the bets have been placed, the dealer will deal the player two cards face up and himself two cards with one card face up the other face down. If a player has placed a perfect pairs bet, he or she will be paid out for any pair dealt. A mixed pair pays out 6:1, a coloured pair pays out 12:1 and a perfect pair pays out 25:1. If a casino player places a perfect pair bet and does not get dealt a pair, the player then loses their pair bet.
Playing the Regular Hand
In Perfect Pairs Blackjack, after the perfect pair bet is paid out, the main blackjack game is played. Here players can choose to hit, stick, split or double down. If a player has a high scoring hand, they can choose to stick and see of the dealer can match or beat their hand. If a player has a low scoring hand, they can click on the hit button and receive an additional card. Players also have the option of splitting pairs and doubling down which means taking an additional card and doubling the bet bonus for that blackjack hand.
Payouts in Perfect Pairs Blackjack
In Perfect Pairs Blackjack, after the player has played his or her hand, the dealer then flips his down facing card. In this game, the dealer must hit on hit on a soft 17. If the dealer cannot beat the players hand, the player wins the bet with a payout of 1:1. If the player wins with blackjack, the payout is increased to 3:2. If both the player and the dealer has the same score, the hand is a push and the bet is doubled for the next hand.
