One of three connected properties in Primm, Nevada, Whiskey Pete’s is a hotel and casino that first opened its doors in 1977. The historic resort is known for its casual, relaxed atmosphere, hospitality, and entertainment.
The three properties are linked, which means that guests at the hotel and casino are able to make use of the facilities on the other properties as well. Travel between them is made convenient by trams and a monorail.
In addition to comfortable accommodation and a well-stocked casino, the resort also offers various dining options, a sports book, golf, live music concerts, and a state of the art 3D amusement ride.
Whiskey Pete’s Hotel Rooms
The hotel at Whiskey Pete’s offers 777 rooms at affordable rates.
Each of the rooms has a TV set, with complimentary cable, as well as comfortable furnishings and tasteful fixtures.
Whiskey Pete’s Casino
Unlike many Las Vegas casinos, which insist on a strict dress code, Whiskey Pete’s hotel and casino takes a more relaxed approach. Players may dress casually when they play slots and table games.
The casino offers more than 650 classic slots, video slots, and video poker games spread over 31 000 square feet, 3400 square feet of game pits with 10 tables, and a sports and race pool spread over 1500 square feet.
In addition to slots and video poker, players can also play blackjack, craps, roulette, three card poker, and Wheel of Fortune.
The Whskey Pete’s sports book and race book let players bet on various sporting fixtures such as basketball, football, baseball, and hockey, as well as on greyhound and horseracing.
Golf at Whiskey Pete’s
Two pro-style golf courses designed by Tom Fazio are available for guests at Whiskey Pete’s hotel and casino. One is the Lakes Course, while the other is the Desert Course.
Each course is approximately 7000 yards long, and each offers unique challenges.
The Vault at Whiskey Pete’s
The Vault is another attraction available to guests at Whiskey Pete’s hotel and casino. Located at the adjoining Primm Valley Resort, the Vault is a digital projection motion ride that uses high definition 3D visuals and sound to transport riders from ghostly, abandoned Western mines to mysterious Arabia.
Whiskey Pete’s Showroom
An entertainment venue with 700 seats, the Showroom at Whiskey Pete’s hotel and casino is known for hosting some of country music’s brightest stars. Among those who have performed for crowds at the venue are Mickey Gilley, Crystal Gale, Freddy Fender, and America.
The Showroom can also be hired out for ballroom soirees, company parties, corporate events and seminars, as well as for school and other reunions.
Eating and Drinking at Whiskey Pete’s
The two main eateries at Whiskey Pete’s are the International House of Pancakes, and McDonald’s.
Serving up breakfasts as well as a variety of café fare, the International House of Pancakes is one of the resort’s foodie attractions. Open day and night, it attracts not only hotel and casino guests, but guests from the adjoining properties as well.
Fast food of a familiar, if predictable, sort is served up at the resort’s McDonald’s restaurant. The restaurant is open from 6am until 10pm from Sunday to Thursday, and is open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday.
